Jort Terwijn (Nijmegen, 1993) is a double bass player and composer from Amsterdam, Netherlands. His main occupation is working with his bass ensemble ‘ÖNDER’.
Besides that Jort is working as a sideman in projects such as the Teis Semey Quintet, Sam Newbould Quintet and the BvR Flamenco Bigband. Also Jort is available as a teacher for double bass and bassguitar.
winner Keep an eye records 2022
With his band ÖNDER, Jort won ‘Keep an Eye the Records’ 2022. This prize contains a budget of €10.000 to record a new album (listen here) and a tour organised by the KAE and the VNJJ (association dutch jazz venues). More info here.
footprints artist 2022/2023
Footprints selected 6 artists out of the 50 artists selected at Intl Jazz Platform 2022 in order to specifically support in their European career. This promotion will benefit from a tour organized by Footprints agents and partners mentorship so that they can reach new networks and audiences.
Together with the Norwegian agency ‘Bendik Bookings’, Jort Terwijn’s ÖNDER is currently organizing a tour in Europe.
